STUDENT ID CARD POLICIES
All students are issued a Photo Identification card upon entering our school.
IDs are (a 4 in 1 card) for student identification, meal purchase card, bus pass and library card.
Please take note of the following procedures in place for these ID cards.
1. No tampering with the ID cards. This includes, but is not limited to, covering with stickers, markers and paint, or anything else. No cutting or defacing in any way.
2. Replacement cost for lost, broken, cut or defaced or melted (clothes dryer) cards
is $5.00. Replacement cards may be purchased in the school office at the morning
3. For meals, in order to speed up the lunch line process, students scan their ID cards to debit their meals. If the student does not have his/her card, the meal request will be “typed” into the mealtime terminals. Type in is done after all the students with IDs have scanned their cards (end of the lunch lines). Students who do not have their ID card and who request a meal may be denied the meal if they make more than 3 such requests.
4. For bus riders, students are required to present their cards to the drivers or school personnel upon entering the buses. If the student “forgets” their ID for riding bus,
a written notice will be sent to parents in the form of a bus infraction, this notice is generated
by the bus driver and sent to the administration and the transportation officer.
The bus drivers have the right to refuse a rider without their current bus pass/ID.
NOTE: Students with a Free or Reduced lunch status are still responsible for their ID cards; including the replacement fee; no exceptions will made because of a student’s meal program status.
Students who are handicapped and may be unable to take full responsibility for their cards may have accommodations in place for their meal scanning and bus service.
